Recently, RAB-3 came to know that the people of various areas, including the residents of Rajadhani, are suffering due to the mobile phone theft gang. Following this, a smart team of RAB-3 increased surveillance on the activities of organized gangs involved in the sale and purchase of stolen and hijacked mobile phones. . RAB-3 By carrying out intelligence operations, some gangs of buying and selling stolen and hijacked mobiles were found. By carrying out repeated raids against these criminals, they were able to arrest more than a hundred criminals of the gang, along with recovering a large amount of stolen and stolen mobile phones. On the basis of specific intelligence information, RAB-3 conducted an operation in Sonargaon area of Narayanganj district on the night of February 22, 2023 and was able to arrest Md. Jewel (29), one of his accomplices, Mukhtar Hossain (35), the master of the organized mobile smuggling ring. Rapid Action Battalion-3 seized 193 stolen mobile phones, 20 mobile batteries and cash of Rs.4815/- from the custody of the arrested accused. This was confirmed by RAB-3. Its captain is Lt. Col. Arif Mohiuddin Ahmed. The captain of RAB-3 also said that the arrested accused have been stealing and selling stolen mobile phones for a long time in different areas of the country including the capital, avoiding the eyes of the law enforcement agencies. Members of various criminal gangs of the country have been buying these mobile phones at low prices and conducting various types of criminal activities.
