In continuation of this, on the basis of secret information, a raiding party of RAB-10 conducted an operation in the Osmani Udyan Park area under Shahbag police station of the capital Dhaka yesterday on 17th February 2023. The smuggler was arrested. Name of arrested persons 1. Md Sabuj (28), 2. Md. Shakib (20) and 3. Known as Md Shakeel alias Akash (21). Meanwhile, 51 stolen mobile phones and 01 tab were recovered from them. Preliminary inquiries revealed that the arrested persons are active members of a mobile smuggling ring. They had been collecting stolen mobile phones from different parts of the country including Dhaka and supplying them to Shahbagh and surrounding areas for quite some time. A regular case has been registered against the arrested persons in the concerned police station.
