Three friends were killed in a head-on collision between a private car and a motorcycle in Tangail’s Ghatail. The accident happened on Tuesday (February 14) around 10:20 pm in the Haripur area of the upazila on the Tangail-Jamalpur regional highway. The three friends who died were Shamim of Madhupur upazila, Sonamia son of Shahid Hossain of Lawagram area of Ghatail upazila and Alamgir Hossain of Astochallisha area. Police and locals said that the three deceased friends were going to Ghatail from Tangail on a motorcycle. On the way, when the motorcycle reached Haripur area of the upazila on the Tangail-Jamalpur highway, it collided head-on with a private car going in the opposite direction. They died on the spot. Confirming the truth of the incident, Sub-Inspector (SI) of Ghatail police station Babul Hossain said that after receiving the information, the dead bodies of the three deceased were recovered from the spot and brought to the police station. The victims will be handed over to their families after the legal process.
