A preparatory meeting has been held in Goalanda to commemorate the 44th martyrdom anniversary of martyr President Ziaur Rahman Bir Uttam, the great independence proclaimer, founder of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), and promoter of multi-party democracy.
The meeting was organized by Goalanda Upazila and Municipal BNP and BNP’s affiliates and associate organizations at the Upazila and Municipal BNP offices adjacent to Goalanda Bazar Railway Station on Wednesday (May 28) at 5 pm.
The meeting was presided over by Goalanda Upazila BNP President Md. Nizam Uddin Sheikh and the meeting was moderated by Municipal BNP General Secretary Md. Mojibur Rahman Mollah.
The meeting was also attended by Upazila BNP General Secretary Mosharraf Ahmed, Office Secretary Md. Jelal Pramanik, Municipal BNP Vice President Ziaur Rahman Ujjal, Executive Committee Member Md. Rafiqul Islam, Upazila Sramik Dal President Md. Jalil, Upazila JASAS President Md. Nurul Haque Milon, Uzanchar Union BNP President Md. Selim Sheikh (Shalim Member), Daulatdia Union BNP President Md. Abdul Khalek Bepari and Debgram Union BNP President Md. Islam Molla, among others.
At the meeting, the leaders respectfully remembered the contributions of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman and urged people to work unitedly to make all future upazila programs successful, inspired by his ideals.
