A pedestrian named Faisal (32) died when part of the wall of the 4th floor of a building under construction collapsed at Demra Matuail Medical Road Aman City area of the capital on Thursday around 10:30. The dead Faisal’s body was recovered from the front of the building and taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for post-mortem. Eyewitnesses said that it was 10:30 this morning While walking along the road of Aman City-1 Lane in Matuail Medical Road area, the four-storey wall of a building under construction broke down and fell on Faisal’s head, he died on the spot. His house is in Burburia village of Bancharampur upazila of Brahmanbaria district. His father’s name is Jasimuddin and his mother’s name is Beauty Begum. He lived with his family in Muslim Nagar Zero Point Bankers Park Bhavan. Involved in online business funded by UNICEF and UNDP. The owner of the building is absconding since the incident. Deputy Inspector (SI) of Demra police station Touhidul Islam confirmed the death of a pedestrian when part of the wall fell from the building under construction. He said that the body of the young man is in Dhaka Medical Mortuary. According to the police, the death occurred when the wall fell on the head of the pedestrian due to the lack of safety fence during the construction of the building.
