A passenger bus named Starline overturned after losing control at Fakirhat in Chittagong. One death has been reported. At least five others were injured.
The accident took place on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway in Fakirhat area of ​​Faujdarhat around 9 am on Saturday (June 29). The fire service has already reached the spot and started the rescue work. Traffic is temporarily stopped in this incident.
Locals said that the bus was going towards Feni in the pouring rain. The driver suddenly pressed the brake for some reason. The car overturned due to the slippery road. Many people say that the speed of the car was high, due to which the driver could not brake. It is also reported that some of the locals have heard the sound of screeching wheels. However, what exactly caused the car to overturn on the road is yet to be ascertained.
Confirming the matter, Chittagong Fire Service’s Mobilizing Officer (MO) said that at 9:05 in the morning, we received information that a bus had lost control and overturned on the highway. As soon as the information was received, the rescue team of the fire service went to the rescue. They continue to work. One died on the spot. The injured have been sent to hospital. However, the driver of the bus is absconding.
