Nazrul’s Birth Anniversary Celebrated in Rajshahi, Organized by Polimati

The 126th birth anniversary of the national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam was celebrated in Rajshahi, organized by the social and cultural organization Polimati, with the support of four of its affiliated organizations: Hands Together Initiative (HTI), Red River Crew (RRC), The Flying Feet, and Torkoshala Debating Club.

To mark the occasion, a brief discussion and cultural program was held on Tuesday, May 27, 2024, at 7:30 PM in the auditorium of the District Shilpakala Academy.

The discussion session was presided over by Uzzal Ali, President of Polimati. The chief guest of the event was Md. Habibur Rahman, Additional Divisional Commissioner (General) of Rajshahi. Special guests included Md. Reza Hasan, Chief Executive Officer of Rajshahi District Council, Anwar Hossain, Assistant Engineer, Alif Mahmud, Sub-Assistant Engineer, Shahadat Hossain, District Cultural Officer, and Farhad Hossain, President of Torkoshala Debating Club and Senior Teacher of Rajshahi Bohuukhi Girls’ High School.

During the event, Polimati’s cultural performers paid tribute to the national poet through dance, poetry recitations, and songs. Alongside nearly 200 members from Polimati and its affiliated organizations, invited guests and spectators also enjoyed the program.
