In the light of the motto “Proud country of co-operation, non-discrimination Bangladesh”, a rally was organized by upazila administration and co-operative department on the 53rd National Co-operative Day in Patuakhali at 10 am on Saturday morning at the upazila executive officer’s square, hoisting national and co-operative flags and hoisting banners of co-operative male and female government officials and media workers. The procession was held. At the end of the rally, under the chairmanship of Upazila Cooperative Officer Md. Harun Or Rashid, Upazila Sudak Assistant Commissioner and Executive Magistrate Md. Nasim Reza spoke as the chief guest about the significance of Cooperative Day.
Upazila Agriculture Officer Arju Akhtar, Press Club President M. Khalid Hossain Milton spoke as special guests. At the end of the discussion, crests and certificates were distributed to the three successful time co-operative societies. It is to be noted that under Galachipa and Rangabali upazila, 113 societies have a total of 25 thousand 530 members with 34 shelter project members, according to office sources.
