CNG driver Md. Rumon Khan along with 40 pieces of Yaba with arrested in the afternoon of February 26 in the special operation of Moulvibazar District Intelligence Branch. A DB team led by SI Mohammad Tofazzal Hossain arrested him this evening from Atgaon village under Amoil Union No. 9 under Moulvibazar Sadar police station. He is the son of Geda Khan of Pailonpur village of Balaganj police station in Sylhet district. According to DB sources, this afternoon while conducting a check post to recover drugs and smuggling, a CNG autorickshaw was signaled to stop in front of the house of Vipul Master of Atgaon village on the paved road going to Moulvibazar-Shamsherganj Bazar. At that time, the bodies of the CNG auto rickshaw driver and passengers were searched as it seemed suspicious.
During the search, 40 pieces of Yaba tablets wrapped in black polythene kept in a cigarette packet were recovered from the jeans pocket of CNG driver Md Rumon Khan. In this case, Moulvibazar Sadar police station is preparing a case under the Narcotics Control Act.
