Bangladesh played well in the Test series against Pakistan. After defeating West Indies 2-0 15 years ago, this is the first time Bangladesh have upset an established team in a two-match Test series. Not only that, this time the team and individual performance was also great.

Mehdi Hasan Miraj’s all-round performance in this series was eye-catching. The spin all-rounder has proved himself equally with bat and ball.

Mirage took 5 wickets (1/80 and 4/21) with 77 runs in the first Test. He also took 5 wickets with 78 runs in the second test. The right-handed all-rounder became the series best with 155 runs and 10 wickets in two Tests.

It is very difficult for an off-spin all-rounder to do better than that in a two-match series. Because Mirage’s batting position was ‘eight’. He also came to bowling quite late. Still, he gave the best all-round performance for the team. Miraj contributed a lot to ‘Banglawash’ Pakistan.

Despite a memorable all-round performance, the Mirage is reluctant to float. He knows that the series with India will not be easy. The Test series with Rohit Sharma’s team will be very tough and challenging. He believes that Bangladesh will have to travel a long way in this tour.

Miraj’s words of confidence were heard in front of the media in Shere Bangla on Monday. The team played well in Pakistan. Now hope to play well on Indian soil too. But playing him well won’t be easy. Because India as a team is very rich and strong. Bangladesh has to face tough challenges.

Miraj said, ‘Every series is challenging. Since we did well in the Pakistan series, there is not much difference with this series. Performing and everyone is in good form. If everyone is in good form in India too, then surely something good can be expected.

“There are always challenges in Test cricket. Every session, every ball – all are challenges; Batsmen and bowlers are for everyone. India is definitely a good team. Their bowlers are very good. The batsmen are also very good.

Mirage has played on Indian soil before. That is why the Tiger all-rounder has some experience with the character of the wicket.

In this regard, Miraj said, “If you think about the performance without worrying about what will be the result with India, the result will be good.” We have played there before. We have experience with the behavior of wickets. I think the wicket will be very good there. If we stick to the way we are playing and focus on performing without thinking about the result, then good results will come.”
Miraj said, “When we play well, everyone’s expectations rise. It is important that we play well. If we can do that, we can fulfill our own expectations.

Bangladesh’s last Test performance on Indian soil was not good at all. Mirage remembers that clearly. He is determined to overcome that failure and play well this time.

Miraj said, “We have played Tests on Indian soil before. Our past performance was not good. We are going with an expectation this time. Hopefully, we will try to enjoy the expectations that they have. When we can fight them, we have a chance to do well. We will try to fight with them.
