On the occasion of National Fisheries Week 2024 in Galachipa in the light of Patipadya, “Bharbo mache moder desh, garbo smart Bangladesh” an exchange of views with journalists was held at the office of Galachipa Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer at 11 am on Tuesday, July 30.
In the presentation of Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer Md. Zahirunnabi, the 7-day program from 30th July to 5th August and currently the world’s second largest producer of freshwater fish were discussed.

He discussed with the journalists that a target of about 15,000 metric tons of fish production has been set every year in rivers, reservoirs and ponds, besides providing good advice to the fish farmers in various ways including materials and incentives and encouraging them to cultivate domestic fresh water fish.
