Spent two years at Manchester City. However, because of Arling Haaland, his place in the starting eleven was unlikely. Whatever opportunity he got, he matched himself. Julian Alvarez is finally leaving Man City, the club confirmed on Monday. The new destination is La Liga club Atlético Madrid.

Man City sold the Argentinian forward for a record price in the club’s history. A source told ‘ESPN’, the English Premier League club is getting 82 million pounds in exchange for sending Alvarez to Atletico. Bangladeshi currency which amounts to about 1 thousand 231 crores!

Alvarez was bought by Manchester City for £14 million in January 2022. After two years, they got a big price.

Haaland made it difficult for Alvarez to find a place in Man City’s starting XI. Still contributed well as a bench player to the team’s treble win, scoring 17 goals and providing five assists.

Alvarez was given a chance in the starting XI last season due to Haaland’s injury. Performed well in several matches. In total, this Argentine scored 19 goals in 54 matches.

While at Man City, Alvarez won the 2022 World Cup for the national team Argentina. He also won the Copa America title this summer.
