Chakaria Police Station of Cox’s Bazar district has arrested a person named Saiful Islam alias Roman (35) with a country-made LG (Ekonla) gun in a raid.He was arrested from a place called Haider Nashi, near the tea garden of Dulahazara Union of the upazila, in the early hours of Monday (May 26). A country-made LG (Ekonla) gun was recovered from him during this time. Saiful Islam is the son of Nurul Islam of Malumghat Tea Garden area of ​​Dulahazara Union.
In this regard, Chakaria Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Shafiqul Islam said, a case has been filed under the Arms Act at Chakaria Police Station in connection with the recovery of the weapon. There are several different cases against him. He regularly stays with local robbers in the area, including the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway, and commits robberies at various places in the Chakaria area.
