A legal notice has been sent to remove accused cricketer Shakib Al Hasan from the national team and bring him back to the country. A legal notice was sent to the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) authorities.

Supreme Court lawyer Barrister Sajib Mahmud Alam sent the notice on Saturday (August 24). In the notice, Sajeeb Mahmud Alam said that since a criminal case has been registered against Shakib Al Hasan, he cannot be in the national cricket team as per ICC rules. He needs immediate removal from the cricket team.

In the case filed in connection with the murder of garment worker Rubel during the anti-discrimination student movement, a case has been filed against 500 people in the same police station, including 156 people including former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Sheikh Rehana and Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader. The former captain of the Bangladesh team has been made the 28th accused in the case.

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan is now with the national team. He is in the Bangladesh XI in the first match of the two-match Test series against Pakistan in Rawalpindi. He went directly to Pakistan and joined the team without coming to the country from Canada.

This test started from August 21. On August 22, a murder case was registered in his name in Dhaka. Today (Saturday) is the third day of the test. He took 1 wicket in the first innings with the ball and scored only 15 runs with the bat.
