Two passengers of an auto-rickshaw were killed after being hit by a truck in Kaliganj upazila of Lalmonirhat. 7 more passengers were injured. The accident took place at Kakina Kabi Bari area of ​​the upazila on the Lalmonirhat-Burimari highway at around 10 pm on Friday (June 2). However, the identity of the victims was not found in this incident.
Police and locals said that a CNG-driven autorickshaw with 10 passengers from Rangpur reached Kakina. At that time, two passengers including a woman were killed on the spot when a stone-laden truck hit Burimari land port. Later, 7 people were rescued by locals and admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital.
In this regard, Inspector (Investigation) of Kaliganj Police Station Habibur Rahman confirmed the truth of the incident and said that traffic is normal in the area at present
