Election Commissioner Begum Rasheda Sultana said that all candidates are equal to us.  The commission will take action on the candidate who violates the code of conduct, not on the basis of the party or the candidate.

We are intensifying this activity.

He said these things while talking to reporters at Lalmonirhat on Friday (December 29) afternoon.

Earlier, he attended a separate discussion meeting on the occasion of the twelfth parliament election with the rival candidates and election related administration and presiding officers in the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner as the chief guest.

In the exchange meeting, some candidates highlighted various problems of the electoral field.

Most of the independent and other party candidates complained about the violation of the ruling party’s candidate code of conduct.  Election Commissioner Rasheda Sultana said that the commission is trying to keep the voting environment fair.

As a result, there is no chance for the situation to deteriorate anywhere.  We are making arrangements so that voters can come and vote smoothly.

He also said that we have all kinds of preparations to make the polls fair.  That is why we are going to every district and talking to officials.  The same steps are being taken for minor complaints as for serious complaints.  Candidates have no reason to worry about this.

Rangpur Divisional Commissioner Habibur Rahman, Deputy Inspector General of Police Abdul Baten, Lalmonirhat District Commissioner Mohammad Ullah and Superintendent of Police Mohammad Saiful Islam were present in the exchange meeting.
