SB-Sujon, Lalmonirhat : VGF rice has been distributed on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha in Kakina Union of Kaliganj Upazila of Lalmonirhat.
On Sunday afternoon, Rokon Uddin Babul, MP of Lalmonirhat-2 constituency, inaugurated this rice distribution program among 3,108 extremely poor, distressed and benefitted families through a program at the Kakina Union Parishad premises.
A brief discussion meeting was organized at the Union Parishad premises on the occasion of the rice distribution.
Kaliganj Upazila Assistant Education Officer AKM Tajibur Rahman was present at the program presided over by Kakina Union Parishad Acting Chairman Sharaf Uddin Sharif. UP Secretary Sajjadur Rahman, Accountant cum Computer Operator Farzana Yasmin, UP members Yakub Ali, Tuhinur Rahman Tuhin and others.
Speaking as the chief guest at the event, MP Rokon Uddin Babul said that the current government has highlighted various developmental activities and promises. He said that the government is working to ensure that no person in the country is deprived of the joy of the festival. He expressed hope that this humanitarian assistance program of the government will continue in the future as well.
