Rice has been distributed as food aid to (3670) needy, helpless and disaster-affected families in Kakina Union Parishad, Lalmonirhat on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha. Each family was given 10 kg of rice.
The program began on Thursday (June 5) at 10 am at the Union Parishad premises. The beneficiary family members were present for a long time and expressed their gratitude for this assistance from the government with bright faces.
Meanwhile, Sharaf Uddin Sharif, (Panel Chairman) of Kakina UP, said at the rice distribution ceremony,
“We are working together to ensure that this assistance from the government reaches all the needy families properly. This is our wish that the joy of Eid-ul-Azha reaches everyone’s homes.”
Tag Officer Sheikh Musfiq, UP Administrative Officer Sajjadur Rahman, UP members and local dignitaries were present at the rice distribution ceremony.
The distribution program was conducted in an orderly manner, and it revealed happiness and satisfaction among the beneficiaries. Many said that this assistance has brought joy and comfort to their families during Eid.
Meanwhile, every year before national and religious festivals, the government provides food assistance to the needy and poor people in the country, which brings a big change in the lives of the underprivileged people of the country.
