A housewife named Summita Rani (23) died mysteriously in Panchagram Union of District Sadar Upazila. The body of the housewife was recovered from her house in Ramdas village of the union on Saturday (April 29) around noon. The police have detained Summita’s husband and mother-in-law for questioning. Deceased Summita is the wife of Subarna Roy of the same area. Police and locals said that Sushmita got into a fight with her husband Subarna Roy on Saturday morning due to a family dispute. This housewife died of serious injuries at home. Locals came to know about the matter and informed the police station. On receiving the information, the police recovered the body and sent it to the morgue of Lalmonirhat Sadar Hospital. Police detained husband Subarna Roy and mother-in-law for questioning in this incident. However, no case has been filed in this incident so far.
Lalmonirhat Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ershadul Alam said that the body was recovered and sent to the morgue. The husband and mother-in-law of the deceased housewife have been taken into police custody for questioning.
