Dry food has been distributed as relief to storm victims in Aditmari Upazila of Lalmonirhat. On Thursday afternoon, these reliefs were distributed in the Mahishkhocha Union Parishad (UP) field of the upazila. Aditmari Upazila Executive Officer (UNO, Additional Duty) and Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rojatun Jannat inaugurated the relief distribution program. Upazila Project Implementation Officer (PIO) Mofizul Islam, Mahishkhocha Union Parishad Chairman Mosaddek Hossain Chowdhury and UP members were present.
Last Sunday (May 15) night, the houses of 180 families were damaged by the storm in the Kutirpar, Balurbandh area of ​​the Teesta river in the Mahishkhocha union of the upazila. 10 kg of rice, one liter of oil, one kg of salt and garam masala were distributed among the affected families by the Ministry of Relief. Upazila project implementation officer Mofizul Islam said that dry food has been distributed among the storm victims for the time being. They will then be given vouchers and cash to renovate their houses.
