Three agricultural laborers have gone missing after their boat capsized in the Teesta river at Hatibandha in Lalmonirhat.
The incident took place in Dhubani area of ​​Singimari Union of the upazila at around 8 am on Sunday (July 9).
The missing persons are Fazlur Rahman, Ahedul Islam and Safiqul Islam in South Gaddimari village of that union.
Eyewitnesses said that in the morning 18-20 workers tried to cross Teesta river in a canoe.
Meanwhile, the boat sank in the middle of the river due to strong current. Many people swam to the shore but three people went missing. On receiving the information, Hatibandha Fire Service personnel continued the rescue operation in the river.
In this regard, Singimari Union Chairman Manowar Hossain Dulu has confirmed the truth of this incident.
