The Laksam Journalists Union’s activity, action plan and evaluation meeting was held.
Laksam Upazila Executive Officer Kausar Hamid addressed the meeting as the chief guest on April 22 at the VIP hall of a restaurant in Laksam, moderated by Laksam Journalists Union General Secretary Mohammad Abdur Rahim and chaired by Laksam Journalists Union President Zafar Ahmed.
Former president of Laksam Press Club Md. Abdul Quddus, former general secretary Mujibur Rahman Dulal spoke as special guests. Among others, senior journalist Mashiur Rahman Selim, joint convener of Laksam Press Club Arifur Rahman Swapan, member secretary Faruk Al Sharah, organizing secretary of Laksam Journalists Union Selim Chowdhury Hira spoke.
As an appreciation of the organization, the former convener of the Laksham Journalists Union, former convener of the current committee and joint secretary of the current committee Amjad Hossain, former member and organizing secretary of the current committee Selim Chowdhury Hira, and former member and office secretary of the current committee Mohammad Ullah were awarded the honorary crests. The chief guest and other guests of the event handed over the honorary crests to the three journalists.
Among others present at the event were Laksam Press Club members Abdul Jalil, Zahidul Islam, Anwarul Azim, Laksam Journalists Union Vice President Ahsan Ullah, Publicity Secretary Delwar Hossain, Finance Secretary Aminul Islam, Women’s Affairs Secretary Saria Chowdhury, members Mahbubur Rahman, Zahid Shanto, SI Shimul and others.
