Two sisters built a chicken farm on their own land with much difficulty in the hope of becoming self-sufficient. But that firm has a bad eye of the influential people of the area. The influencer surrounded the road leading to the farm with a bamboo fence and cut the farm’s water pipe. Besides, the woman also beat up the entrepreneur. A case has been registered in the police station regarding the beating. Eyewitnesses in the case are reportedly being intimidated and threatened in various ways not to testify.
It can be seen from the surface, two sisters Jannatul Ferdous (25) and Salma Sultana (37), daughter of father Mahatab Ali of Bara Ailchara village of Kushtia Sadar Upazila, bought a land next to their house and built a chicken farm there in the hope of becoming self-sufficient. Syed, the son of the influential Shahadat of the area, gave notice to that firm. Since then, the two women have been threatening and threatening the entrepreneur in various ways. Their main objective is to prevent those women entrepreneurs from becoming self-reliant. For this reason, those influential people have been creating various obstacles for them. The road leading to the farm has been blocked by a bamboo fence. The only water supply pipeline to the farm has also been cut. Besides, on June 8, 2023, around 8:00 a.m., the woman attacked the entrepreneurs with the intention of killing them. Salma Sultana (37) and Jannatul Ferdous (25) were injured in this. The accused are Shahadat’s son Saeed (40), deceased Ahed’s son Bashir Uddin (52) and 4) Mangal Joardar (55), Mangal Joardar’s son Arif (32), Ghughur Ali’s son Sohag (28) and Sohail (32), unknown. Another 2/3 people. Also, another member of that gang, Khalek, son of deceased Niamat Ali of the same area, is indirectly intimidating and threatening the witnesses of the case on behalf of the accused side. He told the witness, “There is danger in giving witness! Witness should not be given.” When contacted on the phone of Khaleek who threatened him, he misbehaved and said, “Who are you Mia? Why do you have to tell me? It is up to me to threaten whom or not.” “ Complained to the police that the police will see and no one needs to see.
Jannatul Ferdous, the plaintiff in the case, said, “Despite filing the case, we are suffering from insecurity. The witness of my case is also being threatened. As there are no men at home, we have no one to look after. The road to our farm has been blocked, the water pipe has been cut. We want redressal and fair trial. “I have informed the investigating officer of the case over the phone.” The investigating officer of the case, SI Kamrul of Kushtia Model Police Station said, “I have heard the threat.” I am trying my best to resolve the issue.
