Brahmanbaria BGB Director General Major General AKM Nazmul Hasan said, ‘No one wants to kill a life. They (BSF) don’t want it, neither do we. Everyone wants to see how low the border killings can be brought down.’ He said this in response to questions from journalists at Akhaura land port in Brahmanbaria on Wednesday afternoon. The BGB chief visited the port and spoke to reporters. Later he went to Kasbah. He also said, ‘We discuss many types of problems in the DG level conference. We are solving many problems in that discussion. These (border killings) could have been more. We are reducing them. But we will try to bring down the border killing as much as possible. ‘ The Director General of BGB said in this regard that the construction work of Akhaura Immigration Bhawan and Kasba Railway Station and Salda River Bridge has been stopped due to BSF’s blockade, ‘He does not know about the Immigration Bhaban. We are trying our best regarding Kasba station and Salda river bridge. I contacted BSF after taking charge. Hopefully the work will start very soon.’ He said, ‘Prime Minister also talked about zero tolerance policy on drugs. That’s how we work.’ He commented that it is undesirable to go fishing and get drugs.
