Kaptai CCHP and Christian Hospital Chandraghona organize discussion meeting, rally and tree plantation program on the occasion of Environment Day

World Environment Day was celebrated in Kaptai. Keeping in mind the theme of “Ending Plastic Pollution”, a colorful rally was organized by Comprehensive Community Health Program and Christian Hospital Chandraghona on 5 (June) at 10 am in the Upazila Parishad premises. At this time, the rally and tree plantation program was inaugurated by Arun Talukder, Headman of 100th Wagga Mouza and his wife Lucky Tanchangya. Later, a discussion meeting was organized at Chandraghona Christian Hospital CCHP Hallroom. Chandraghona Christian Hospital Director Dr. was present as the chief guest of the discussion meeting. Program Manager Bijoy Marma, chaired by CCHP, delivered a speech as a special guest, media worker Chowdhury Mohammad Ripon. Also present at the event were social worker Md. Musa Sikder, media worker Ripon Marma, Zakirul Islam, M Babul, Joynal Abedin, CCHP program’s Masang Marma, Usangbai Marma, Julius Rupak Baroi, cashier Michael Joydhar
and many others including hospital staff, nurses, volunteers.
At this time, completely free saplings of fruit, forest and medicinal trees were distributed among the staff, nurses, students and small entrepreneurs. Later, saplings of various species of ornamental trees were also planted to enhance the beauty of the hospital premises. The chief guest said in his speech, “If we ourselves become aware of the use of plastic, we can make others aware.” He gave a comprehensive discussion on the environmental damage caused by plastic pollution.
