A peace rally and protest march was held at Bauphal in Patuakhali as part of the Central Jubo League’s nationwide peace rally program against BNP Jamaat’s arson and anarchy. The procession circumambulates various towns in the municipality and ends at Hilsa Square. After that, joint general secretary of Patuakhali District Awami League and Mayor of Bauphal Municipality Md Ziaul Haque Jewell, chairman of Nazirpur Tanter Kathi Union SM Mohsin Howladar, general secretary of Bauphal Upazila Swachhasebak League Md Shafiqul Islam Shipon, organizer of Upazila Jubo League were present as chief guests in the peace rally at Ilisha Square. Secretary Uttam Kumar Ganguly, Upazila Chhatra League President Saidur Rahman Hasan and General Secretary Mahamud Rahat Jamshed and other leaders. The chief guest at the peace rally said in his speech that BNP Jamaat’s work is only to spread rumours. They said there will be no money in the bank, lakhs of people will die of hunger during Corona but nothing like that happened in Bangladesh under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina. The Prime Minister gave us courage and strength during that calamity. No people in Bangladesh died of starvation due to the Prime Minister’s incentives.
