The 52nd Victory Day was celebrated with due dignity and various arrangements at Joypurhat on Saturday, paying humble respects to the brave martyrs of 1971.

On this occasion, the program started on Saturday morning at 6:30 am in the central Eidgah with tapoddhani 31 times. Various political and socio-cultural organizations including district administration, police department, freedom fighters parliament, various government departments, Awami League, Jasad, CPB, Japa, Basad and their affiliates, educational institutions laid wreaths in memory of the martyrs at the memorial located in Shaheed Dr. Abul Kashem Maidan. do A children’s rally was held at the stadium at 8 am. Students from various educational institutions including Police, Ansar-VDP, Scouts, Rovers, BNCC, Cub-Scouts, Shishu Kishor organizations participated in it. Deputy Commissioner Saleheen Tanveer Ghazi and Superintendent of Police Mohammad Noore Alam welcomed the parade and after the beautiful display the prizes were handed over to the winning and participating teams. Civil surgeon Dr. Akul Uddin, district Awami League president Arifur Rahman, former commander of the district freedom fighter Amjad Hossain, former commander of the district freedom fighter Amjad Hossain and heads of various departments at the district level were present on the occasion.On the occasion of Victory Day,

the national flag has been hoisted and illuminated in public and private buildings. Improved food is served in orphanages, children’s families and hospitals. Special prayers and prayers are offered in mosques, temples, churches and pagodas with the aim of creating public opinion on anti-terror, militancy and drug activities and seeking forgiveness of departed souls of martyred freedom fighters, good health of war wounded freedom fighters, peace, prosperity and progress of the nation. A discussion meeting titled “Achieving National Prosperity and Significance of Victory Day” was organized at the local Martyr Dr. Abul Kashem Maidan under the management of the district administration in building the Sonar Bangla of the Father of the Nation’s dream by keeping the spirit of the Liberation War and the best use of digital technology. Shishu Academy organizes painting, country song and poetry recitation competitions for children. Apart from this, various social and cultural organizations are holding various programs on the occasion of Victory Day.
