Three dead bodies were found lying in front of the Jatrabari police station in the capital on Tuesday around 12:15. Police clothes were seen on the bodies of two of them. Another man’s body is handcuffed.

Hundreds of people were seen gathering around the bodies. At least seven to eight police cars were burnt in front of the police station. People were seen looting various things from the burnt cars. People were also seen entering the police station.

Agitators were stationed in Kazla area of ​​Jatrabari of the capital yesterday afternoon, focusing on the ‘March to Dhaka’ program of the anti-discrimination student movement. They were chanting anti-government slogans. At one stage the members of law and order forces started firing at them. Many were killed. According to Dhaka Medical Hospital sources, 30 people who died in shooting were taken to the hospital from Jatrabari area.

Protesters attacked and vandalized the Jatrabari police station after noon yesterday. At one stage they entered the police station and beat up the policemen. Some policemen were injured. This situation can be seen in front of the police station this morning.

13 police stations in the capital Dhaka and 7 police stations outside Dhaka were attacked, vandalized, arson and looted throughout the day on Monday. Apart from this, Satkhira and Sherpur district jails were attacked. However, how many people were injured in these incidents and how much damage was done, could not be confirmed.

An official of the police headquarters said that the agitators broke the main gate of the police headquarters yesterday evening and vandalized.

Many officers of the police headquarters were trapped in the office at that time. Later, when the situation improved, they climbed the eastern wall and went inside the city building. Then get out of there and go to any destination.
