Jatrabari police station was visited on Thursday (August 8) and burnt vehicles were also lying outside the police station. Students, along with members of Ansar, have taken a barricade position in front of the police station gate.
The items inside the Jatrabari police station were burnt to ashes. All the windows were broken. Even today, common people are flocking there to see these images.
Meanwhile, after setting fire, he entered the police station and took whatever he could. Many took out the appliances from the burning cars. So the students made it difficult to enter the police station.
Mustafizur Rahman, a student of Ideal College who is in charge of the police station, told Arnab Media that about 300 students are performing their duty every day including traffic. We are working in several shifts, morning, afternoon and night. We are doing not only police station but also road traffic and order work. If necessary, we are also taking help from the army brothers.
Arnav said, after the police station was burnt, many people were looting various things, we are performing our duty here so that they cannot do that. I don’t let anyone in. Ansar brothers are also with us now.
Talked with local resident Abdul Halim in front of the police station. He said that the locals were very angry with Jatrabari police station. Many people have been abused in various ways. They also shot and killed the most number of students. That is why people burnt the police station like this out of anger against them.
