The executive order canceled the notification issued banning Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and its student organization Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir.
Another notification was issued on Wednesday (August 28) by the Home Ministry’s Public Security Department canceling the notification.
The notification said that there is no concrete evidence of involvement of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and its student organization Islami Chhatrashibir in terrorism and violence and since the government believes that Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and its student organization Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir are involved in terrorist activities. not involved
It is further stated that the Government, by virtue of Section 18 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 2009, has revoked the notification regarding the banning of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and its student organization Bangladesh Islami Chhatrashibir as political parties and organizations and from Schedule-II of the said Act, Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami. Islami and its student organizations Bangladesh has canceled the registration of all its affiliates, including the Islami Chhatra Shibir. It will be effective immediately.
