Joypurhat Correspondent : 03 October 24th To make the state-owned sugar mills of Bangladesh Sugar and Food Industry Corporation (BSFIC) profitable and up-to-date, the officials-employees of the Joypurhat Sugar Mill have formed a human chain to demand the inclusion of the agriculture department of the sugar industry in the revenue sector. This human chain was made in front of the main gate of Joypurhat Sugar Mill at 11:30 am today. Akhlachur Rahman, Managing Director of Sugar Mill, General Manager of Agriculture Department, CDA Khairul Islam, Ali Akhtar, President of Workers’ Union, Secretary Ahsan Habib Romel and others spoke on the occasion. The speakers at the manbandhan said that the most effective agricultural sector of the sugar industry has been neglected. To develop the sugar industry and save the farmers, officials and employees, the agriculture department should be included in the revenue sector immediately.
