Alhaj Jahangir Alam Sarkar, the newly elected Member of Parliament for 251, Comilla-3, Muradnagar Constituency, read the oath in the 12th National Assembly. This oath was taken in the oath room on the first level of the East Block of the Parliament Building in Sherebangla Nagar today, Wednesday (January 10) morning. Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury recited the oath. Before this, the speaker himself took the oath according to the rules. To take the oath, the newly elected parliamentarians entered the National Parliament building from this morning. They entered through gate number 12 of Sangsad Bhavan. The speaker entered the oath room at 10:08 am. Those involved said that after taking the oath, the parliamentarians signed the oath book. After that he completed other formalities in the secretary’s office. They will participate in the Awami League parliamentary party meeting at 12 noon.
