Jagrat Sahitya and Genijan Sammanna was held in Kushtia with huge attendance and enthusiasm. 2 June 2023 Eng  Kushtia Superintendent of Police Khairul Alam was the chief guest at the event held at the Kushtia District Art Academy auditorium on Friday night.
Prominent writer and researcher Dr. Under the chairmanship of Amanur Aman and the overall supervision of the president of Jagrat Sahitya Parishad Kushtia District Committee SM Jamal, District Awami League Vice President Dr. AFM Aminul Haque Ratan , Chairman of Mirpur Upazila Parishad Kamarul Arefin, President of Kushtia Press Club (KPC) Rashedul Islam were present as special guests. Biplab, Kushtia Press Club General Secretary Anisuzzaman D.
Shihab Rifat Alam, President of Jagrat Sahitya Parishad Central Committee, spoke as the main speaker. Â Rabindra Maitri University founder Professor Dr. participated in the discussion as a negotiator. Zahurul Islam, prominent dramatist Masum Reza who won the Bangla Academy award in drama category, Amirul Islam, general secretary of Kushtia District Art Academy.
Later, Gunijan, Ratmagarbha Maa, ideal couple in various categories were honored for their contribution to social service.
Chief Guest Superintendent of Police said in his speech that literature makes a person elegant. Creative literature is a tool for building thoughtful people and prosperous countries. Therefore, to develop civilization and build a prosperous country, creative people should be respected. Those who have been given the ability to create creative literature by the creator of the universe should present their literary works to the people.
