Bangladesh has reached the final of SAFF U-20 Championship after defeating India. Bangladesh beat India 4-3 in a tiebreaker in the second semi-final of the tournament held at the Anfa Complex in Nepal on Monday.
Bangladesh took a 1-0 lead in the first half of the match, but India equalized later. Due to a 1-1 draw at the scheduled time, the fate of the match was determined by a tiebreaker.
Asadul Mollah’s goal in the 35th minute of the competitive match saw Bangladesh take the lead. However, India equalized the match by scoring in the 75th minute.
Then both teams could not even try to increase the gap. If there are no more goals in the allotted time, the match will be decided by a tiebreaker.
Maruful Haque’s team reached the final after winning the tiebreaker by 4-3. Bangladesh will play against host Nepal in the final.
