In Rajshahi City, pure drinking water and saline solution were distributed among ordinary people, pedestrians, van drivers, auto-rickshaw drivers, and individuals from various professions. This event was organized by HTI (Hands Together Initiatives), a non-political, volunteer, and social organization formed by students of various nursing colleges in Rajshahi.
On Thursday, May 1st, starting at 1:00 PM, HTI distributed pure drinking water and saline solution to 350 people in Zero Point area near the Saheb Bazar intersection of the city.
The organizers mentioned that due to several days of intense heat, pedestrians, day laborers, van drivers, and ordinary people are suffering. Doctors generally advise drinking plenty of water during extreme heat. During travel, water scarcity is often observed. Therefore, to stand beside thirsty people in the heat according to their capacity, this initiative was taken. Workers receiving the water and saline solution expressed their happiness, saying that in this scorching heat, they are very pleased that HTI has provided this gift, considering their needs.
