A human chain was held at the initiative of a journalist working in Madaripur to protest the killing of journalist Gholam Rabbani Nadeem in Bakshiganj of Jamalpur and to demand exemplary punishment for the killers. The human chain was held in front of the Madaripur Press Club on Friday (June 16) morning.
The speakers in the human chain said that the trial of murder of journalist Gholam Rabbani Nadeem should be speedy. Criminals should be found out through fair investigation. Torture of journalists one after another in this way cannot be accepted in any way. Journalists will announce a strict program in the future if the murder is not prosecuted and investigated and if the main accused and other accused are not arrested.
The human chain was presided over by BanglaNews Madaripur representative Imtiaz Ahmed and ATN News Madaripur district representative Ed. Zahirul Islam. Daily Yugantar and ATN Bangla district representative Md. Golam Mawla Akand, DBC News district representative Monir Hossain Bilas, general secretary of Maitri Media and Daily Sakal were present in the human chain.
