Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md. Shahab Uddin said that hill cutting and filling of ponds should be stopped to protect the environment. In order to live beautifully, we need to create a clean environment free of pollution. Everyone including teachers, students, parents should work to prevent environmental pollution. Everyone should plant more trees to protect the environment.The environment minister said these things while addressing the chief guest at the function organized on the occasion of the centenary of Balapur Navin Chandra High School of Sadar Upazila of Narsingdi district.

Addressing the students, the Environment Minister said that there is no alternative to real education to develop life to the fullest. Along with studies, one should participate in sports and cultural activities. To improve the nation, self-reliance should be educated and others should be encouraged to take up education.Addressing the teachers, the Environment Minister said that the students should be given complete education to develop their latent talent and become a good citizen and an ideal human being. Students should be inculcated in the spirit of the Great Liberation War and the ideals of the Father of the Nation. They should tell the life stories of brave freedom fighters, language fighters and national leaders related to the country’s history. They should be given moral education to become ideal human beings.

Ghiyas Uddin Babu spoke on the occasion; Mayor of Madhavadi Municipality Mosharraf Hossain Pradhan, President of the school and Chairman of the Union Parishad Md. Abul Hasem and Headmaster of the school Abdus Sabur etc.
