Mollah Nasir: Government hospitals are hostage due to the reckless commission trading of the line director of the health department. Health services are severely disrupted. With this money, hospital authorities purchase medical supplies, spare parts. According to sources, the line director of the Department of Health, Prof. Dr. Mazharul Haque Tapan, multiplied 15-20 percent of the special allocation and handed over the allocation. According to sources, the concerned contractors paid the bribe money in advance for these contracts. They took the Baraddhapatra by paying bribe cash to Mazharul Haque. The contract of the hospital is given to the hospital authority by the contractor and the hospital authority orders the contractor to perform more profitable works. Sources also said that for the special allocation of the hospital, the hospital authority and the contractor conspired to send several times the demand for more profitable products. According to sources, line director Mazharul Haque Tapan was heard saying that Tk 60 to 65 crores of bribe had to be paid to the Secretary General of the Department of Health, the Secretary of the Ministry of Health and the Minister of Health. The investigation revealed that the majority of this bribe money went into the pocket of Mazharul Haque Tapan. Sources also said that Health Minister’s former PS Arifur Rahman is involved in this cycle. On the condition of anonymity, some officials and employees told this reporter that Line Director Professor Dr. Mazharul Haque Tapan Gangra rented a house in Gulshan and shared bribe money there in the evening and indulged in various kinds of entertainment.
Sources also said that recently a special allocation of 22 crore rupees has been given to some hospitals.
Sources also said that the contractor circle includes Ali Enterprises, Sajjad, Munnaf, Ali Baba, Rana Enterprises, Siraj, Fahim. Mazharul Haque Tapan, the special agent of Afzal, the chief corrupt officer of the Department of Health.
