Sources say that Sheikh Hasina will remain in India until the asylum application is accepted in the UK. But so far there has been no assurance from the UK that his asylum application will be accepted.
Another Indian media NDTV reported that Sheikh Hasina has been allowed to stay in India temporarily by New Delhi.
Earlier, the plane carrying Sheikh Hasina landed at Hindon Airport in Ghaziabad, 30 km from Delhi, on Monday. India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval met the 76-year-old leader there.
