Aman Ullah : Hand grenades, detonators, rifle and pistol bullets were recovered from a bag in a pond in Teknaf, Cox’s Bazar.The operation was conducted in the Nature Park in Damdamiya, Teknaf on Saturday (May 31) morning, said Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Harun-or-Rashid.He said that the Coast Guard and police conducted a joint operation in the Nature Park in Teknaf on Saturday morning after receiving a tip-off. During the operation, an hour-long search was conducted in a pond inside the nature park. During the search, a bag was identified submerged in a strange manner in the pond. Later, 10 hand grenades, 10 hand grenade detonators, 27 rounds of rifle bullets and 2 rounds of pistol bullets scattered on the bank of the pond and 2 liters of local Bengali liquor were found inside the bag. The criminals fled after sensing the presence of the joint forces at the scene. Due to which no one could be arrested. However, legal action is being taken to find those involved in explosives, bullets, and narcotics.
