On the occasion of National Fishery Week 2024 at Galachipa in the light of Patipadya, Galachipa Upazila Senior Fisheries Department organized the Galachipa Upazila Senior Fisheries Department on the occasion of National Fisheries Week 2024. Incentives are distributed between various fish fry.
Under the chairmanship of Upazila Executive Officer Md. Mohiuddin Al Helal, Wana Marzia Nitu (Chairman) Upazila Parishad was the chief guest, special guest (MP) representative Md. Babul Bhuiya, Upazila. Engineer Md. Jahangir Alam, Press Club President Md. Khalid Hossain Milton. Besides, the leaders of the Upazila Fisheries League, general representatives of the fishermen and the media were present in the rally.
Under the supervision of Fisheries Officer Md. Zahirunnabi, according to the 7-day program from July 30 to August 5, ice boxes were distributed to thirty fishermen and baby calves were distributed to three poor fishermen families and fish fry of different species were released in the pond.
