Fugitive accused sentenced to 10 years in arms case arrested in Brahmanbaria

Brahmanbaria Sadar Model Police have arrested a fugitive accused sentenced to 10 years in an arms case in Brahmanbaria.

On Sunday, May 18, SI Md. Mahbubul Alam and his companions ASI Abdul Halim, ASI Md. Moniruzzaman and ASI Rezaul Karim arrested fugitive accused Md. Zakir, son of the deceased Abdul Haque of Paschimpara village of Ramrail union of Brahmanbaria Sadar Police Station. The matter was confirmed by the investigation officer of Brahmanbaria Sadar Model Police Station Md. Tanvir Ahmed. He said that the accused was arrested from his house on the basis of a secret information in the early hours of May 18. Zakir Hossain, the accused in Special Tribunal Case No. 58/16, GR-08/16 (Sadar) arms case, who was serving a 10-year GR sentence, was arrested and handed over to the learned court.
