A fire broke out in a ship waiting with Jalani oil petrol in Sugandha river across Jhalkathi oil depot. At 2 o’clock in the afternoon, the ship’s steering room exploded. On receiving the news, 5 units of fire service are trying to control the fire. Very urgent need. Otherwise major accident may happen. There are fears. 5 people on board were reported to be injured. They were sent to Barisal Medical for advanced treatment from Jhalkathi Sadar Hospital. After an hour and a half, 5 units of fire service, Jhalkathi, Rajapur and Nalchiti managed to bring the fire under control.
