Former Prime Minister Khaleda Zia has left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport for her Gulshan residence, Feroza. She left for her residence at 11:40 am with a motorcade through a special security cordon.
Earlier, on Tuesday (May 6), she arrived at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka in a special air ambulance sent by the Emir of Qatar at 10:38 am. She was accompanied by her daughter-in-law, Zubaida Rahman, wife of acting chairman of the party Tarique Rahman, and Syeda Shamila Rahman, wife of younger son Arafat Rahman Koko.
It was previously reported that the BNP would make various preparations to welcome Khaleda. In particular, the news of Khaleda Zia’s return to the country after 17 years, which has added a special dimension. Zubaida’s return is a different kind of excitement among the party’s leaders and activists.
Khaleda Zia arrived at the airport at 10 am on a Qatar Royal Ambulance flight. Party leaders and activists started arriving from different parts of the country from early morning to welcome their beloved leader. Some of them were carrying placards with greeting messages, party flags and banners.
