For peace harmony and non-communal Bangladesh construction and genocide in the student movement, demanding trial of the former Sheikh Hasina government, at five o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday in Patuakhali, students of various universities and colleges, with national flags in their hands, marched on the street in front of the Akashti Batighar Library, with slogans of about two hundred students. They circled various roads and formed human chains. Md. Shahed Hossain, Tawfiq Taj, Arif Mahmud, Md. Shahin Hossain, Akib Hossain, Muz Taniba spoke on behalf of students of anti-discrimination student movement of Barisal University. Various media were present at the time.
Meanwhile, on 18 August 2024 at 11 o’clock in the 14-point demand, the anti-discrimination student movement Galachipa Upazila Government Degree College students’ initiative, hundreds of students held a sit-in program with 14-point demands at the Galachipa Government Degree College campus.
The program was led by Kavi Rudra Shamim, an active member of National University Branch and Galachipa Upazila Branch of the anti-discrimination student movement and his colleagues Sara, Shakeel, Ruma Akhtar, Riyad etc.
