A firefighting and rescue drill was held inside Kushtia Police Lines on 06/05/2025 from 10:30 am to 11:30 pm under the joint initiative of Kushtia District Police and Fire Service and Civil Defense, Kushtia.
In the drill, fire control methods were taught in a hands-on manner. The safety of using gas cylinders in homes and controlling fires caused by them were also practiced. Senior Station Officer of Fire Service and Civil Defense, Kushtia and associated forces provided training on the equipment used in rescue work (hydraulic spreader, hydraulic head cutter, hydraulic ram jack, hydraulic door opener, rash propelling shock, sting wiper). At the said exercise, Md. Mizanur, the competent Superintendent of Police, Kushtia and all the officers/employees of the district police were present and received firefighting training.
At the end of the exercise, the Superintendent of Police, Kushtia, thanked the Fire Service and Civil Defense team and said that if any accident occurs, the police and the fire service have to work together. If there is coordination between the two organizations, any accident can be dealt with successfully.
