The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) said that extreme heat and dust storms may occur in Makkah and Madinah in Saudi Arabia during the Holy Hajj.
According to NCM, the temperature in Holy Makkah is likely to reach 43.6 degrees Celsius and 43 degrees Celsius in Holy Madinah.
Meanwhile, the weather in Makkah will be very hot and dry during the day. And night temperature will be slightly lower. During Hajj, the average maximum temperature in Makkah will be 43.6 degrees Celsius and the minimum will reach 29.6 degrees Celsius.
The average wind speed in Makkah will be 4 to 10 kilometers per hour from north and northwest direction. As a result, dust storm will be created.
Madinah will experience relatively hot and dry weather during the day and moderate temperatures at night. The average maximum temperature will be 43 degree Celsius and the minimum will be 29.3 degree Celsius.
Average wind speed in Madinah will be 12 km per hour. Wind speed will be from west to north-west direction. This will cause dust storm.
On the other hand, pilgrims have been asked to be aware of the weather conditions and move accordingly. The Saudi Arabian government is working to take all measures for the safety of pilgrims.
