Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Md. Shahab Uddin said that media is playing an important role in forest, forestry, nature and environment conservation by increasing public awareness by highlighting various environmental problems of the country. Media can play a stronger role in keeping the country free from air pollution, noise pollution. Mass media can inspire people to plant more trees.
The environment minister said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the program organized on the occasion of the 7th year of daily morning time at the IDEB auditorium of the capital on Tuesday evening.
Greeting and congratulating the authorities and journalists of the newspaper on its foundation anniversary, the minister said that all domestic media should uphold Bengali culture, history, tradition and the spirit of the great liberation war by publishing objective and responsible news.
The minister said that the media can illuminate the lives of helpless people by highlighting their stories. He said, the country should be loved with heart and soul, the writing of the journalist will write about the development of the country and the development of the nation. It should be written about so that the country can become a better smart Bangladesh.
Chairman of Chuadanga Zilla Parishad Mahfuzur Rahman Manju and General Secretary of IDEB Shamsur Rahman and others were present in the program presided over by Md. Noor Hakim, editor and publisher of daily morning newspaper.
