Desk News : The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC) meeting was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman.
The meeting began at 10 am today at the Public Administration Meeting Room of the Cabinet Division of the Bangladesh Secretariat. It ended at 1:15 pm.
The Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary Zahidul Islam Rony said this.
On May 18, the National Economic Council (NEC) meeting chaired by the Prime Minister approved an ADP of Tk 3,892.483 crore for the new fiscal year.
Earlier, on May 12, a total of nine mega projects, including the ‘Padma Barrage’ project costing more than Tk 33,000 crore, were approved in the ECNEC meeting.
Local Government Minister Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, Finance and Planning Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury, Home Minister Salah Uddin Ahmed, Power and Energy Minister Iqbal Hassan Mahmud Tuku, Commerce Minister Khandaker Abdul Muktadir, Water Resources Minister Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie, Health and Family Welfare Minister Sardar Md. Sakhawat Hossain, Agriculture Minister Mohammad Amin Ur Rashid, Law Minister Md. Asaduzzaman, Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Haque Milon, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Sheikh Rabiul Alam, along with state ministers, advisors and secretaries of various ministries were present at the ECNEC meeting.
