Goalanda Ghat Police Station has arrested Jahangir Howlader (48) and his wife Mukta Begum (40) along with 160 (one hundred and sixty) grams of heroin and a microbus from the terminal area of ​​Daulatdia in Goalanda Upazila of Rajbari.
Goalanda Ghat Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohammad Rakibul Islam confirmed the matter in a press note on Wednesday (May 28) afternoon.
The arrested drug dealer Mukta Begum and her husband Jahangir are residents of Malla Patti area, a new neighborhood in ward number four of Ujanchar Union in Hawlader Upazila.
The press note said that at around 1:45 pm on Wednesday, SI (Retd) Md. Saidul Islam, a team of Sangiya Force, arrested them along with 160 grams of heroin and a microbus used for drug trafficking from in front of a shop belonging to a certain Shamser at the Daulatdia Truck Terminal in the upazila.
